I work with photography to process memory, loss, and the ever-loosening relationship between an image and what is real.
My concern is not whether an image is sharp, but whether it carries the trace of thought. In an era when images can be generated endlessly, a photograph's meaning lies precisely in the fact that it was a specific, deliberate, irreducible act of presence.
I reach for defocus, negative space, and grain — not as style, but because some truths (memory, emotion, a place that no longer exists) can only develop in the form of blur.
